Stewed Plums
Serve stewed plums along with breakfast or as a
dessert with cream or whipped topping.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water mixed with 1 T corn flour
- 1 cinnamon stick or 1t cinnamon
- 1 kg damson plums, pitted
Preparation:
Combine sugar, water, and cinnamon stick. Boil for 3
minutes, until thick. Add plums; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and
simmer stewed plums for about 10 minutes, or until plums are tender.
