Tenesha's Ski Trip

White Winter
Packed our bags, got ready, we were off to Rainbow Ski Field. YAY! We finally got to the Rainbow Ski Field car park after a long smelly drive, thanks to the smelly old shuttle that was driving in front of us.

We were all waiting at the bottom of the ski field for about an hour, because the shuttle left us all behind. OH, finally here it comes and off up to the ski field we went.
When we got up there, we went and stored our bags in the hut, then we had a big talk with a ski organiser. He told us about how to keep safe on the slope.

It was now time to get our skis and snowboards from the rentals. A man got us sorted out with our skis, but the only let down for me was my ski boots, because they hurt my feet.

Now it was time to get out into the winter cold snow, but before we got to go skiing, we had to have a lesson. We all started learning how to move our skis back and forwards. Then it got a bit harder each time. 1,2,3,4,5 down the little slope we went. Our lesson was over. “Yay!” yells Amy. Jade and I went down the little slope for about two hours. It was now time to go down the middle slope.

Oh no, we got there and there was such a big line. It was so boring, but it was so worth it. Zoom, off up the hill we went. We stood at the top off the hill for a bit, because we were scared that we would crash into little kids, but we didn’t.

Amy, Pagan, Hannah, Jade and I found some really deep snow. It was hard to walk in it. We all raced back to the hut and had something to eat. Yum, yum, yum. Back to the snow we went. Amy made a big snowman. It looked so cool. Then Amy and I were putting our heads in snow.

It was coming closer to the end of the day, but we still had time to have lots of fun. Pagan and I got some black rubbish bags. We then found a big slope that was quite flat. I bet you all know what we did, “Weeeee!” said Pagan. It was so awesome going down the big hill. It’s time to go said Hannah, so we walked back to the hut. When we got back we gave a big thanks to the parents and teachers.

It came to the end off this awesome day. We were all ready to go home. I went to get my dry clothes on and what? Oh! I left my ski glasses in the toilet! Oh no, that was so annoying, but there was no time to get them back, because we were already on the shuttle. I think I would love to do that day all over again!
